PURCHASING A DESIGN PACKAGE WITH SALT & LIGHT INTERIOR DESIGN SIGNIFIES THAT YOU HAVE READ AND AGREE WITH THE E-DESIGN AGREEMENT - TERMS & CONDITIONS.
Virtual design (commonly known as e-design) is a design consultation service only. All recommendations are meant to be used solely as suggestions to improve the esthetics and function of the space and are not intended as construction or engineering guidelines. If construction will take place, you are advised to retain a licensed contractor. Virtual/E-Design services shall not include the design or modification of design of any structural, heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, ventilation, or any other mechanical systems installed or to be installed at the project.
You understand that all drawings and design boards are strictly representations of the conceptual design. Because we want you to love your new space, we make every effort to provide quality recommendations from vendors we trust and would use for our own homes. Since e-design involves online shopping, we are unable to see/touch/sit on every item we select; therefore we rely on our design expertise in addition to researching consumer reviews to ensure the best pieces are used in your design. Due to the nature of digital products and varying computer screens, colors may vary slightly. Though it's rare, there's always a chance that items may appear different than expected in person than online or on design boards.
Communication with your designer will take place in our online client portal and chat service. Since e-design is a virtual service, phone calls will only be scheduled on an "as needed" basis, but are typically not needed and not included as part of the e-design service. You are responsible to verify the fit of each recommendation and verify items can deliver into room through stairs/elevators, doors, passage clearances, etc., as applicable. The designer's space planning and item recommendations are based on the measurements you provide (room measurements, door and window height/width, trim, ceiling height, etc.).
Once the design phase begins, we will perform services as expeditiously as we can with professional skill, care, and orderly progress of the e-design project. We try to keep estimated turnaround times up to date on our website, in general 2-3 weeks for a 2D design, 2-4 weeks for a 3D design, and 3-5 weeks for a Photorealistic 3D design. You will be notified via email and in the client portal once design begins on your project.
Due to the nature of online shopping and the risk of items going out of stock, it is strongly recommended that you order the items for your design as soon as possibly once the design is complete. If there is a delay and something is not available, we are happy to help with replacement options. Resourcing fees for out of stock items are $50 per item. If you would like to secure your design package/establish your spot in our design queue but are not ready to start purchasing, please let us know your desired timeframe during our initial "welcome" correspondence and we can arrange to start your design at a later date.
Package prices may change without notice. Your initial purchase values will be honored for six (6) months from the date of purchase. The project must be started within this timeframe to honor the original purchase value. If prices have increased before the project begins (after 6 months), we will send you an invoice to pay the difference before we begin the project.
During the initial design phase, you will have five (5) business days for revision requests (product re-selections) after you receive your initial design draft. After five (5) business days, we are happy to continue making changes with a $50 per item fee to continue to re-source items. For the A LA CARTE design package, you will have three (3) business days rather than the five (5) mentioned above.
We often share project designs on social media and our website including but not limited to marketing, promotional, and/or advertising campaigns. Rest assured that any personal information will be omitted. Please let us know up front if you prefer your designs not be shared with others.
Client Responsibilities:
Provide full and complete information regarding the client's "wants & needs" for the design.
Provide complete and accurate measurements & photos of the space (according to the S&L Measurement Guide).
Respond to communication in a timely manner (typically within 48 business hours). Purchase products and execute the design in your home.
Full payment will be made upon signing of this agreement.
*If purchasing a full room design, your purchasing investment should be at least $10,000 or greater to ensure ample budget for timeless high quality pieces in the room.
**Due to the digital nature of this product/service, all sales are final. Refunds are not available.
***The Client Questionnaire and measurements/photos must be provided before we can begin work on your project.

Salt & Light Interior Design cannot be held responsible for arranging repairs, refunds/exchanges, or freight claims for purchases made in conjunction with recommendations for the e-design project. These are all risks associated with online shopping.
Salt & Light Interior Design will not be held responsible for quality or construction of purchased or fabricated items, nor any responsibility for the means, methods, or delivery times or lead times, installation, or safety precautions in connection with the implementation of the e-design project.
Salt & Light Interior Design disclaims all warranties with regard to the design scheme including all implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. To the extend that US provides rights in addition to those above, or do not allow limitation or exclusion of implied warranties, the above limitations may not apply thereby making such clause or any portion thereof invalid, it shall be limited and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remainder of the agreement.
